Cora and I have started a new Cora Quest designer diary segment on the Dice Tower’s Board Game Breakfast.
In the first episode we talk about why we started this project.
The vision is to create an immersive co-operative dungeon crawler for the whole family, with an emphasis on keeping things simple. The overarching criteria is that children as young as six can actively and independently enjoy the game.
Alongside this we also want the game to be scalable. Rather than writing a prescriptive list of additional rules we want players to make it their own, adding scenarios and rules as children get older and more confident with scouring tabletop dungeons.
